OAC’s main objective is to provide arbitration, mediation and other forms of ADR services to administer local, regional and international disputes, and is also responsible for the following:

1. Providing necessary consultations and services for resolving commercial disputes.

OAC is committed to provide professional and transparent ADR services while preserving its values of impartiality, independence, integrity and confidentiality on which it was established. As a result, OAC’s arbitration rules was published in the Decision no. 8/2020, that are an updated and cohesive set of rules in line with international developments and standards in the field of international arbitration.

OAC’s arbitration rules aim to achieve equality between the disputing parties to reach a fair and an impartial Award in accordance with the rules and what is agreed between the parties in dispute. OAC is also committed to select and register distinguished and eminent arbitrators, mediators and experts in accordance to the specified criteria.

Arbitration is a flexible, quick, and confidential form of alternative dispute resolution (ADR), agreed in writing by the parties in dispute through a binding agreement.

The private nature of arbitration allows the parties in dispute to choose the arbitrator(s), whom shall issue the Award.
